This lauded drama follows the Youngers, an African-American family living together in an apartment in Chicago. Following the death of their patriarch, they try to determine what to do with the substantial insurance payment they will soon receive. Opinions on what to do with the money vary. Walter Lee (Sidney Poitier) wants to make a business investment, while his mother, Lena (Claudia McNeal), is intent on buying a house for them all to live in - two differing views of the American dream.

CONDITION:
BETA is in good condition, and from a smoke-free home. BETA cassette is complete and free of mold. There are two stickers on the face of the cassette, one stating numbers and the other a 1982 copyright seal. There is an orange dot sticker on the title spine sticker. Case appears free of issues. This is a cut-box clamshell rental, with cut pieces attached to the back, side and front of clamshell. The piece on the back of the case has a scrape through it (as pictured). Due to use and storage, signs of  wear are visible. BETA is untested. See actual photos of items above.
